or, we might as well be AI

a maze for rats to die
It’s interesting how life ends up working out.
It seems like all these random events happen in our lives that aren’t really random at all. When you think about it, what happens in one place absolutely affects something that happens somewhere else.
For example, traffic.
Every single one of us made various decisions that led us to sitting there honking our horns, looking around and wondering why the hell that truck won’t go so we can all go. But, that person decided to take a few more sips of their coffee before heading out; and that person in the Cybertruck has been driving for hours across the interstate; and that person in the red Honda decided to hit snooze too many times and now they’re rushing, wondering why the hell you won’t go.
Point is, every single decision we make affects each other on some level, no matter how small. It really shows how important it is to live life intentionally. But, I fear majority of us are living on auto-pilot most of the time, not thinking about the actions we take. Which is understandable, life happenings happen that make you want to tune and zone out, but if majority of us live on auto-pilot and do things without thinking, it’ll ultimately lead to a very careless society…
Which is exactly where we’re at.
We are living in a careless, selfish, robotic society. We might as well be AI. AI doesn’t think for itself, it just does what it’s told/fed/given. AI doesn’t make decisions, AI doesn’t have loved ones to think about or hold compassion for others, it just does things. It took Nike’s motto very seriously and decided to just do it, no fucks given.
I don’t know… I feel it’s important we become more intentional in our lives, with our actions. You know, how often do you do something and then immediately forget you did it? Or, how often do you drive around and wonder how many of those stoplights were actually green? Or, how often do you allow thoughts to run rampant in your brain, making you feel like absolute shit about life to the point of depression?
I saw this sign (cue song) while walking around my neighborhood and it inspired this episode and this message, which is this: don’t feed the flock of subconscious thoughts (birds) when they come flying in, because ultimately the negativity (rats) will come and they will stay until they’re no longer being fed.
For twenty-something years I was feeding subconscious thoughts before realizing I was the one feeding them. I was the one responsible for everything. Things weren’t so random after all…
I realize I’m just a woman telling you my thoughts, and I don’t expect all eight billion of you to take what I say seriously (or even find this podcast), but if a couple of you start living more intentionally and start turning subconscious thoughts into conscious actions (rooted in love) then that’s pretty dope. That just means there’s more love in the world.
This society could use a lot more love right now, anyways.
